I finally did it after about 30 tries. I'm on PC /w keyboard&mouse, so here's what worked for me. If you are used to flight key controls where a lower key or down stick pitches a plane up, then I'd leave the key mapping as is.

On PC, don't use the mouse (or headlook) to focus more on the main 'axis' of flight. Press the pitch up or down keys steadily and repeatedly when adjusting until you get used to maintaining steady control that doesn't overreact.On the later half of the course, the checkpoint rings are much closer, so I was able to skip one or two rings on the final leg if I couldn't make a ring on the sharp turns. I agree it's probably the hardest Clutch Nixon mission and the player doesn't seem to be required to practice sharp precision gliding beforehand so it's initially very frustrating. Yeah, I simply don't have the skill to do the clutch nixon wingsuit or airplane missions. The curves are too tight for me and the turns I have to make are too precise. I feel like I'm constantly fighting the controls, and the controls just feel too sluggish and then too sensitive from minute to minute.I'd like to see ubi soften these a bit.
There's no reason why a side mission should be ten times more difficult and frustrating than anything else in the game. I agree with OP: it's not fun. Going to skip these. Was looking here for tips for this mission (assuming its same as Clutch Nixon Godspeed) and feel anyones frustrations with it. Playing on PS4 and after several miserably failed attempts finally managed to do it.
So with controller pressing up (forward) makes you go down and gain speed, press down (pull back) to gain height. And what worked for me is that you dont need to get all rings to pass. I skipped the first two/three but went near enough to them so it was picked up and then eventually you should make the others ok using the controls and will have enough time to do so. Will be some close calls with trees and rocks but you should make it.
