Mount And Blade Zombie Mod
Originally posted by:There are a lot of good mods with guns, but I wouldn't say that the best mods have the best guns. For example, Gekokujo and Phantasy Calradia are awesome mods, but guns are just one of the well modeled features of those mods. On the other hand, while arguably the Red Wars mods is not as good a mod as the ones above, its guns play a much more central role and are a lot more varied, powerful, just plain fun. Well that's ok, what I should have said is a mod with guns IN it.
Do you know of any other mods? I looked at Phantasy Calradia and it said the last update was 2014.!

I'm rather fond of Sayazn. Its a low-fantasy pike and shot setting with interesting and diverse Near East inspired factions. The balance of its guns, melee infantry, and cavalry feels really good to me. Coordinating and commanding cycles of volleys is fun. You can also modernize some factions so they get faster reloading rifles and even breech loaders. It's still being (slowly) worked on though. In particular, some city sieges and village defenses can get wonky.Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth is another good mod. The primary firearms are matchlocks but the Southeast Asian setting is pretty diverse- light and heavy cavalry, elephants, japanese pirates, chinese repeater crossbows, bomb arrows, portugeuse tercos, etc.
In my experience, its very smooth and stable too. Originally posted by:I'm rather fond of Sayazn.

Is Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth still be updated, or is it finished? Originally posted by:Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth is another good mod. Last time I checked, it was no longer being updated, but the author has released the source code, so it could be picked up again. It is very fun, with a lot of variety, and the battlefield action feels great. There are a few known bugs, with the worst one being that eliminating factions is much, much harder than in any other mod I've played, because lords can respawn even if the faction no longer owns a fief.By the way, Phantasy Calradia has not been updated in a while, but the guy is still working on it, and sometimes posts progress reports. It is very stable, and has a ton of content. The best thing about that mods is completely functional battlefield magic, which is very best magic system of all Warband mods. Did I dondload the right one? I'm gonna try Phantasy and the ModDB file is only 265 MB. Originally posted by:is Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth still be updated, or is it finished? I know it's not the original question, but you seem to have tried a lot of mods, what is, the very best one you've tried? Even if it doesn't have guns. Thanks so much, I'm gonna try the ones you listed.
I have no favorite mod. I keep a top five list, and it changes a lot. Right now it is, in alphabetical order: Gekokujo, La Guerre de cent ans, Phantasy Calradia, Prophecy of Pendor, and Viking Conquest.I also enjoy playing 1257AD, Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth and Perisno a lot, but they are more obviously in need of polish, and SuvMa may never be getting it. Perisno, on the other hand, is improving at a great rate - updates come all the time, and they are substantial. If you are new to game, I would recommend Floris or Gekokujo as a good way to start, Phantasy as the most fun, and Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth as the one that lets guns shine the most without being just about guns.
